Last week ZSI hosted a three-day workshop on gender reassignment surgical procedures with surgeons from Colombia, Spain, Italy and Belgium. This workshop was organised with Dr Nicolas Morel-Journel’s team at Lyon Sud Hospital (Lyon, France).
During these three days the surgeons attended reconstructive and prosthetic surgeries: one phalloplasty, one ZSI 475 FTM inflatable penile implants inserted in a phalloplasty and two metoidioplasties with insertion of ZSI 100 D4 – malleable penile implant designed for metoidioplasty-.
Dr. Nicolas Morel-Journel, Dr. Damien Carnicelli, Dr. Paul Neuville also answered questions from the guests. Everyone was able to share their knowledge and experience on the subject. And, as a meeting between doctors cannot end without highlighting complications that can arise, discussions on how to avoid or solve them were held.
Blanche (ZSI International Sales Manager), Danilo (ZSI Italy sales Manager) and Dr. Christophe (ZSI General Manager) attended the workshops too. It was a great opportunity for them to meet with the surgeons in another context and therefore to understand their expectations differently.
